Not Easily Broken
I don't know about you, but I am always excited to see the places that God takes ordinary people. I met a young lady named Rachel way too long ago to remember and have been blessed by and through her so many times. One of the things that I love the most about Rachel is that from the day that I met her as a teen, she has had a passion for Jesus!
Rachel was the first employee that my mom and I ever had - and she was pretty amazing. From filing like a pro to taking time to understand the 'why' of the work that we did, I was sad to see her graduate and move onto other things.
Rachel was Mrs. Virginia 2011 and placed in the top 12 in the Mrs. American pageant that year - and I was able to brag one day when pregnant with Smiley Girl that Miss E and I had eaten breakfast with the reigning Mrs. Virginia. Hey, when you live in a small town, it's kind of a big thing!
These days Rachel is a women's and youth ministry speaker, foster parent (along with her husband Mark) and now part of the group "Not Easily Broken".
Not Easily Broken is made up of Mark (Rachel's husband), Rachel and John (Mark's brother). The name of the group is based on the verse in Ecclesiastes 4:12 "...Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken."
Not Easily Broken plans to independently release their first album and they are taking the month of April to raise $20,000 to make that happen. Contributions can be made by clicking here.
More than anything though, this group of young people would appreciate your prayer, that they would never forget that they are a triple-braided cord and that it is all for God's glory!
