Jesus, bring the rain
So often a song can say that words that I can't. Circumstances this week brought me to a place where I could only pray that God would be gloried. And then early yesterday morning I had the opportunity to be driving alone, taking in the brilliant colors of fall as the sun rose behind me. It was a wonderful time of fellowship with God in His glorious creation. And then the thoughts that have filled my mind but not found their way to words came in the form of this song.
My life, my circumstances, my choices, my decisions may not ever make sense to you or the world. In fact, viewed by the world, I would often be thought a fool. But my desire is not for my own satisfaction or the things of the world - it is for the Lord's glory. To Him be the glory, in this circumstance and in every one to follow.
Bring the Rain {Mercy Me}
I can count a million times
People asking me how I
Can praise You with all that I've gone through
The question just amazes me
Can circumstances possibly
Change who I forever am in You
Maybe since my life was changed
Long before these rainy days
It's never really ever crossed my mind
To turn my back on You, oh Lord
My only shelter from the storm
But instead I draw closer through these times
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings You glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain
I am yours regardless of
The dark clouds that may loom above
Because You are much greater than my pain
So I pray
Bring me joy, bring me peace
Bring the chance to be free
Bring me anything that brings you glory
And I know there'll be days
When this life brings me pain
But if that's what it takes to praise You
Jesus, bring the rain.
Holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Is the Lord God Almighty
And I forever sing
Holy, holy, holy, holy, holy, holy
Is the Lord God Almighty
Is the Lord God Almighty
